Carols by Candlelight
December 3 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The Natick Historical Society and the Bacon Free Library would like to invite you to join us this holiday season to hear Diane Taraz perform a festive setlist of traditional Victorian Christmas carols. Many of our holiday traditions and much of the Christmas music was revived or created during the Victorian era, in the mid 1800’s. Diane will present these beloved carols, together with fascinating stories about their origins as she performs in a hand-sewn 1850’s dress and accompanies herself on guitar and dulcimer.
For years, Diane Taraz has been writing her own songs and breathing new life into traditional ones. She brings a dry wit and a light touch to explain the intricacies of her music.
This event takes place in person at the Natick History Museum (downstairs from the Bacon Free Library).
