THE BACON FREE LIBRARY for kids

Indoor Personal Story Times

Since it is too chilly for outdoor story times, we now offer personal indoor story times on Monday and Tuesday mornings.

Navigate to our event calendar where you can sign up for a 1/2-hour time slot with Miss Fran or Miss Karen.  We’ll read stories for about 20 minutes.  We can choose books — feel free to make special requests! — or you can choose your own.

Read the book, Mother Bruce by Ryan T. Higgins one page at a time on the grounds of the library.  When you’re done scan the QR code on the last story board and enter the raffle to win a copy the book.  Or use this link to enter.

If you like this book try his others.

The StoryWalk®Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

Requesting books for curbside pickup is easy!
Give us a call (508-653-6730) or send an email to bflpickups@gmail.com.  You can provide a list of specific titles that you’d like or tell us about your kids and their interests and we will choose a selection especially for you.  The more information you include the better able we can tailor our selections.  You may also use the online catalog to put books on hold.

We get new books all the time!

Here’s a selection of our children’s fairy tales and folk tales

Check availability and request a copy by clicking on the book.
