Nonfiction Book Club

September 24 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

This month, we will discuss The Boy who Harnessed the Wind: Creating Currents of Electricity and Hope by William Kamkwamba and Bryan Mealer.

As a young boy in Malawai, William Kamkwamba read about windmills and dreamed of building one that would bring electricity and water to his village. Despite famine and poverty, William persevered to do just that.  In The Boy who Harnessed the Wind, Kamkwamba and Mealer tell this remarkable story about human inventiveness and its power to overcome crippling adversity.

Copies of this book are available at the library.

Our discussion will be held over zoom. Please register to receive the meeting details.
