(Virtually) Explore the Springfield Armory National Historic Park

May 17, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The Bacon Free Library invites you to a lunchtime excursion, without needing to leave your home or office.  Each Wednesday through the end of May, enjoy a virtual talk given by the National Park Service about a local historic site.

**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VIRTUAL PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE PLACE VIA ZOOM. Registrants will receive a link to access the Zoom Meeting via email.**

For nearly two centuries, the U.S. Armed Forces and American industry looked to Springfield Armory for innovative engineering and superior firearms. The Springfield Armory commemorates the critical role of the nation’s first armory by preserving and interpreting the world’s largest historic US military small arms collection, along with historic archives, buildings and landscape. Learn about this National Historic Site with Park Ranger and Historic Weapons Supervisor Susan Ashman.

Register directly on Zoom HERE .

NOTE: This program will be recorded. All registrants will receive the recording via email within 24 hours of the program.

This National Park Service series is presented by the Bacon Free Library in collaboration with the Tewksbury Public Library.
