Nonfiction Book Club
August 22 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. We will explore it all in our nonfiction book club.
Did you know that insects outnumber humans by 200 million to one?! Fear not, though, as many of these six-legged critters are vital to our survival. This month, we’ll read and discuss Buzz, Sting, Bite: Why We Need Insects by Anne Sverdrup-Thygeson to learn about the crucial roles that insects play, from pollinating food crops to cleaning up after us.
Hard copies of this book as well as the audio version will be available at the BFL. Give us a call to request one via curbside pickup.
**Please note that the time has been moved a bit earlier for the summer; we will meet at 10am rather than noon
We will have a virtual book discussion via Zoom; please register here so that we may send you the meeting details. This information will be emailed to you a few days prior to the book club meeting day.
