Make and Take Your Own Baseball – FULL

October 18 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

This event is FULL! What a great outpouring of interest in baseballs!

Did you know that Natick is the home of the very first baseball factory in the world?!? The factory was built in 1858 and founded by Harrison Harwood Sr. They mass produced the figure-eight design and which is the standard balls used in the MLB to this day.  It closed in 1988 and was converted into condominiums.

The BFL and Natick Historical Society are teaming up (get it, teaming up 🙂 for kids of all ages to make their very own baseballs! You’ll be going home with some semblance of a baseball (not like the ones for the MLB, but just for fun!). Have your very own baseball for the beginning of the 2017 World Series – it may bring your team luck!
