Hands on Nature presents OWLS
September 16 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
We will learn about the local owls and other birds of prey.
Although there will be no live owls at the end of the presentation, Heather will show us how to break into the pellet, how to examine it and what to look for.
Then we will dissect our own owl pellet!!! For best appreciation, we suggest you pick up owl pellet(s) at the library before the presentation. There will be a limit of 20 links for this program.
We’ll be using Zoom to conduct this lecture. Use this form to register and request the number of owl pellets to dissect in your own home. When requesting owl pellets, please take into consideration your own child’s interest level. We suggest 1 per family but we realize that older kids will spend more time exploring and would want their own.
