Garden Design: a Deeper Dive

December 1, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Professional photographer Joanne Pearson, who took us on a tour through many gorgeous gardens in New England, is here to help you plan for next year’s garden.

What makes for a great garden?  Through her lush and beautiful photographs of showcase gardens in Europe and across the US, Joanne will explore and dissect garden design and the hardscape and softscape elements that make a design shine. You’ll learn how to create a concept plan for your own yard as well as ways you can modify and incorporate some of the grand themes seen in showcase gardens into a scale suitable for your own backyard, your pocketbook, and your schedule. This presentation is great for gardeners as well as for those who want to broaden their appreciation of great landscape design.

Joanne Pearson has been a professional photographer for over 25 years. Prior to her career as a photographer, she was a registered landscape architect in the state of  Massachusetts where she practiced for 12 years.  Her photographs of gardens, landscapes, and people have been featured in numerous magazines, books, and calendars including Yankee magazine, Farm and Ranch Living, and BrownTrout Publishers, Inc. She is also the solo photographer for Mahoney Publishing’s Flowers and Gardens of New England.

This program will be held over Zoom. Please register to receive the meeting link.
